KidShine will direct a week-long Performing Arts Day Camp, ending with a musical presentation on Friday evening. The goal of the performing arts camp is to provide a means for participants to explore and use their talents in a Christian atmosphere which is caring, fun, and mutually encouraging.

Your kids will not want to miss this week!

- Open to Rising 3rd - Rising 6th graders
- Campers must be 8 years old by September 30, 2012
- Cost is $100 per camper
- Sibling Discounts are available
- For the past 2 years our camp has been full, with a waiting list. Once again, space is limited, so register soon.

REGISTRATION INFO
All day camp registrations will be collected by KidShine's online registration system, offering a convenient, secure, and flexible means to register campers. The registration form can be found here: Online Registration

A nonrefundable $50 deposit is due for each child at the time of registration. A 10% sibling discount is being offered. Installment payments can be made online in any amount, so camp costs can be spread out over the next few months. The first 15 campers to register by January 31 will receive $10 off!

SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR SONLIGHT VILLEGE

We are studying Jonah. Please encourage your child to bring their own Bible to Sunday School. Also, elementary children will be on the same schedule as their parents. When parents are in worship, elementary children are to be in worship and when parents are in Sunday School, elementary children are to be in Sunday School.

Puppet Team & Kid's Choir Begins on Wednesday, February 1

Registration is needed no later than Sunday, January 29, but we'd love to have yours as soon as possible so that we can prepare just the right amount of materials. See specific info below about each program.

Our famous puppet team will begin practice on Wed, Feb. 1 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. and will continue thru March 28 (with the exception of March 21 when Knox County has Spring Break).

Kids staying for Kid's Choir will be served pizza at 5:30. Returning puppet team members must fill out a registration form and we'd love to welcome new team members!

Our Kid's Choir, led by Kimberly Watkins, will begin practice on Wed. Feb.1 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. and continue thru March 28 (with the exception of March 21 when Knox County has Spring Break). Choir will include singing and exploring ways to worship God with instruments, games, and crafts.

Donations Needed for Water Angels Ministry

One of our church's small groups is planning to minister to homeless and at-risk children and families through the Water Angels ministry. The group needs gently-used toys, books, and clothing of all sizes (children and adults). Donations may be brought to church on Sunday morning or to the church office anytime during the week. Thank you, in advance, for helping this small group minister to the hurting and lost of inner city Knoxville.

Father Daughter Tea

Sunday, February 12 at 3 p.m. we will host our annual Father Daughter Tea. It is for fathers and daughters of all ages. Dads can call the church office (671-1885) to make a reservation.

Volunteer Opportunities

A Children's Church teacher is needed to teach one time per month during the 2nd worship hour. All materials are provided!
We need a teacher in the Games classroom for 9:30 Sunday School

Our model...

With the Lord Jesus Christ as our model, we place a top priority on ministry to our children. We help children develop Bible knowledge and teach them how to apply their faith to everyday life. Our desire is to reach every child for Christ and as a church family, guide and support them as they begin their walk with the Lord. We provide Sunday School for ages 2 years through 5th grade. Our Workshop Rotation Sunday school provides a multi-sensory experience through multiple classes. Each Bible study or topic is taught through five methods: art, drama, games, computer and video workshops. Each rotation the children are asked to learn a Bible memory verse which coincides with the story.

Children's Church - Kindergarten to 2nd grade; available during each worship service

Junior Leaders - 5th grade leaders serve in the Children's area

Puppet Team - 3rd, 4th and 5th graders present puppet shows in the community

Mission of Hope - outreach to Black Mountain Elementary School in Harlan County, KY
