MEN'S MINISTRY

Men's Retreat - October 21-22, 2011

This year’s Men’s Retreat will be at The Lodge at Valley View in Townsend. (Don’t worry, it’s an away UT football game.) The topic will be “Understanding The Heart Of A Woman: What Your Wife Wishes You Knew About Her.” The men’s ministry has asked three of our ladies to talk to the men about how women want to be loved spiritually, emotionally and physically. The men will truly hear “the heart of a woman” during this retreat. Men, mark your calendars and plan to attend this great time of spiritual growth and fellowship.

There will be a golf tournament (scramble) as well as “Affinity Groups” (hiking, fishing, and cycling.) on Friday afternoon. The cost will be $90 (non-golfers) and $120 (golfers). You can add $30 for a single room. A non-refundable deposit of $20 is required (or you can pay the entire amount to hold your spot). Men's Affinity Groups

Men are connected according to their interests in order to fellowship and
get to know other men through fun activities: i.e. fishing, camping, tennis,
sports events, golf, etc.

Men's Suppers

The men of Christ Covenant get together three times a year for a supper and speakers that speak to the interests and needs of men.

Men's Retreat

A men’s retreat is held once a year in the fall for our men of our church. A speaker challenges our men in areas of interest. Fun events occur on the Friday afternoon of the retreat. See 2010 Retreat Photo Gallery at the bottom of this page.

Men's Fraternity

This is a ministry that encourages men to embrace the authentic Biblical manhood. Various topics to be covered are “Your core identity as a man,” “Seize your manhood,” “Learn how a man enjoys his work,” and “The adventurer in you,” among others.

One-on-One Discipleship

This is a mentoring ministry of men to other men to help them understand how to effectively live the Christian life.

Christian Leadership Concepts

This is a ministry of equipping men to become Christian leaders at church, at work and in the home. Various topics that will be covered are: “Loving your family,” “How to study the Bible,” “Becoming a Christian businessman,” “Apologetics,” and “Changing your community.” A two year commitment is required.

Bible Study Fellowship

Men are provided an intensive Bible Study ministry where you will deeply study God’s Word.
BSF meets on Monday nights at Christ Covenant.
