Prayer Time
Sunday Morning
A weekly prayer meeting, led by elders, meets each Sunday morning
from 8:30 to 9:15 am in Adult Classroom D.
Our prayer emphasis is learning to praise God in prayer by focusing on the names,
character, attributes and works of God, using Scripture as our prayer guide.
We want to help you grow in prayer as well as increase the prayer life
of our body. We encourage everyone to join us, even if you only come on occasion.
Wednesday Evening
Each Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:00 pm individuals from our church family pray for the needs
of our church. We would love to have you become a part of this most necessary ministry.
Feel free to attend even if you pray in silence. The group meets in the office area.
Contact the church office for more information.
Prayer Ministry
My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.
Isaiah 56:7; Mark 11:17
It is our firm belief at Christ Covenant that prayer is the "wind that fills the sails." In
other words, all of the ministries and programs in our church must have constant
prayer support to be spiritually successful.
Christ Covenant's Prayer Ministry includes:
- Prayer Chain
Individuals throughout our church are contacted to pray about special needs that
arise in people's lives. The e-mail prayer chain notifies people of ongoing needs that
individuals can lift up in prayer. Contact the church office by phone: 671-1885 or
e-mail:
ccpc@christcov.org to place a request
on the prayer chain, or enter your request on our
Prayer Requests web page.
- Ministry Teams
Each ministry team (youth, children, music, etc.) is encouraged to develop a prayer
team to pray for their particular ministry.
- Praise Prayer Meeting
Sunday mornings from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. people
gather and elders lead a time of praising God in prayer. It is open to anyone.
- Intercessory Prayer Meeting
Wednesday evenings 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. we meet to lift up prayers for
the needs of our church. It is open to anyone.
- Elders' Ministry of Prayer
Sunday after the worship service elders are available to pray with you.
- Prayer Walks
Quarterly prayer walks are planned at the church to pray for ministries
on the spot where they occur.
"We have forgotten that when Christ built his church,
he built a prayer meeting!"
