Life Verse
Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord,
"plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
A favorite childhood memory
I grew up on a farm, and every fall the visiting evangelist would come for dinner.
We would begin cleaning a week in advance and start cooking three days in advance.
Mom would put out the red checkered table cloth on the picnic table and pile the food high.
After dinner my parents would have us tell the visiting pastor goodbye.
I would hide under the dining room table because I knew how much my parents loved God and,
remembering the story of Hannah allowing her child to be raised by the priests in the temple,
I was sure I would be given away to the evangelist to work for the Lord!
Thankfully, they never could find me during the goodbyes!
A favorite family activity
Dave, Gracie the dog, and I enjoy the outdoors, taking hikes and traveling around in our RV.
