Beginning May 30th, only the distanced seating requires online sign-up. No sign-up is necessary for the open (partially distanced) seating.

Christ Covenant,

It has been an extremely difficult year for all of us, and God has been gracious to Christ Covenant, keeping us safe since Mother’s Day of last year when we began gathering back together.

I’m pleased to announce our “Back Together” Phase 1 Plan will begin next week.

In this phase, we will offer 3 worship service times in our Worship Center at 8:15; 9:30, and 11:00. We will continue to offer a livestream service at 9:30 on our YouTube and Facebook Page.

In the Worship Center there will be one section that is partially distanced and another section that is distanced. Partially distanced means 6 feet between rows but no spacing between chairs in a row. The other section will be distanced as we have been doing since May of last year. Here’s a picture to get an idea of what it will look like.

Masks are still optional.

For 3 Sundays: May 9, 16, 23, no matter which section you choose to sit in, we ask that you sign up. This will allow us to efficiently manage numbers and space. If you sign up, please show up. If you sign up and know you won’t be attending, please contact our office at (865) 671-1885 and let us know.

Starting May 30th we will no longer require the partially distanced section to sign up. However, the distanced seating will still require sign-up.

As far as other guidelines, we will not require masks to be worn in the Children’s Hallway (volunteers or parents) starting this Sunday, May 2nd.

Beginning next Sunday, May 9th, parents will not need to RSVP for Kindergarten-Fifth grade, but we still ask Preschool families (infant-4 years old) to reserve a space for your child through the summer to give us an idea of numbers for planning purposes of volunteers. We will also keep the check-in system the same for security purposes.

Food can be served in our facilities with caution (single served or person serving with gloves and masks). The Café will still be closed until further notice.

I want to personally thank our Worship Team, our Tech Volunteers, and our Safety Team and Ushers for all their hard work the past year. They have gone above and beyond the call of duty. Please take some time to personally thank these key players for their efforts.

It’s time for us to move forward while at the same time continuing to do our best to keep everyone safe. Please stay respectful of each other’s differences, and let’s continue to be the unified Church that Jesus has called us to be.

Persevering with You,

Seth
