TUESDAYS - 10:00AM-12:00PM

THE PROMISED ONE: SEEING JESUS IN GENESIS by Nancy Guthrie
Book Cost $10
This study provides a fresh look at the book of Genesis, leading readers in discovering how its stories, symbols, people, and promises point to Christ. We will see Christ as the agent of creation, the offspring who will crush the head of the serpent, the ark of salvation, the source of the righteousness credited to Abraham, the substitutionary sacrifice provided by God, the Savior to whom the whole world must come for life, and much more. We’ll understand how these passages fit into the bigger story of redemptive history and how each uniquely points to what is yet to come at the consummation of Christ’s kingdom.

TUESDAYS - 10:00AM - 12:00PM

1 KINGS: THE RISE AND DECLINE OF DAVID'S HOUSE by Zachary Groff
Book Cost $15
The downfall of God’s Old Testament people begins in 1 Kings, yet this study draws out the hope of the gospel for people caught up in idolatry and political turmoil.  The homework questions will help you observe and understand this portion of Scripture, recognize how it points to Christ, and apply its truths to your daily life.

TUESDAYS - 6:30-8:00PM

THE LAMB OF GOD: SEEING JESUS IN EXODUS, LEVITICUS, NUMBERS, & DEUTERONOMY by Nancy Guthrie
Book Cost: $10
This study covers Israel’s emergence from slavery in Egypt, receiving God’s law at Mount Sinai, and wandering in the wilderness on their way to the Promised Land. We see Jesus pictured in the unblemished lambs who died that first Passover night, in the pillar of fire that guided God’s people, the manna that fed them, and the rock that gushed with water for them to drink. In the law of God given to Moses, we discover a picture of the only person who has ever obeyed God perfectly. In every aspect of the tabernacle, the priesthood, and the laws for clean and unclean we see the way Jesus saves, cleanses, and loves us.

WEDNESDAYS - 10:00AM-12:00PM

RESPECTABLE SINS
by Jerry Bridges
Book Cost $14
This study addresses several specific “acceptable” sins that we tend to tolerate in ourselves, such as jealousy, anger, judgmentalism, selfishness, and pride.

Bridges writes not from a height of spiritual accomplishment, but from the trenches of his own battles with sin. In his admonitions, the author offers a message of hope in the profound mercy of the gospel and the transforming grace of God as the means to overcome our “respectable sins.” The homework questions will prepare you for discussion on the often-overlooked sins believers battle.

WEDNESDAYS - 12:30-2:00PM

EVEN BETTER THAT EDEN by Nancy Guthrie
Book Cost $14
The Bible is often summarized as creation, fall, redemption, and restoration, but we're destined for more! From the beginning, God's story has been headed toward consummation and glory. Guthrie traces nine themes that reveal God's plan for a new creation that's far more magnificent than the original---and explains how to recognize signs of it now.   Weekly homework will prepare you for each week’s discussion as you learn to better identify and trace themes throughout Scripture.

MOM2 MOM GROUP
ESTHER: THE HIDDEN HAND OF GOD by Lydia Brownback
Book Cost $8
The book of Esther reads much like a fairy tale, but Esther is no fairy tale. From the beginning of the book to the end, God is the main character of the story—even though he’s never mentioned.

The author will guide us as we dig deeply into the book of Esther and learn how God is faithful to keep his promises and deliver his people. This story ultimately points to the gospel, revealing the need for a better deliverer, a better king, and a better kingdom than any found in this world.

Childcare for the semester is available with a reservation and payable at the beginning of the semester: $40 for one child/$60 for two or more children.
