Launching Hope Ministry

LaunchingHopeFinalcropBEREA is an unprecedented personal development program at KARM (Knoxville Area Rescue Ministries) focused on work, learning and service. It is a formal six- to nine- month program in a campus environment. Berea affords KARM guests an opportunity to take advantage of a life-changing process combining Christian support with job skills, education, and community service.  The objective of Berea is to provide a strong, Biblical foundation to build a life upon after KARM.

LAUNCHING HOPE ministry helps meet the practical needs of the Berea graduates in their transition out of homelessness. This includes contributing needed furniture and household items that will be moved into the graduate’s apartment. Also, there are opportunities for volunteers to help physically move them as well as fix up household items that may need repair or refinishing.

Right now there are a couple of ways you can get involved in this new ministry: we'll need a team of several people willing to help move residents into their new homes as well as people with trucks or larger vehicles who would be willing to help move furniture on moving day and take furniture to the storage facility in between moves. We also need contributions of items for upcoming graduates -- for specific needs for November graduates CLICK HERE.
