Thomas and Jennifer McIntyre - October 2018

Dear prayer supporters,

We had a wonderful Mid-Autumn BBQ at our center with our church members and friends from the local community (see picture above). For this month, we have a special request.

Many of our members and guests do not feel confident in reading the Bible on their own. We will be teaching on "how to read the Bible" next month, and early next year will offer a 4-week class on how to do this using a study Bible. We are hoping that we can give free study Bibles to the people who sign up for the class. In order to do this, we are praying God will provide the funding for the Study Bibles. Would you pray that God would provide the funding for these Bibles and that people would be interested in signing up for the class? We are hoping to emphasize the importance of personal Bible study over the next few months so that our members will be equipped with the Word of God and not just reliant on Sunday morning worship. If anyone is interesting in helping with this small project, just contact us directly by email.

There have been many other great things going on in ministry. See the pictures and captions below. As always, thank you for your prayers and financial partnership that allow us to serve in Taiwan.

With thanks,
Thomas & Jennifer (see pictures below)

mcoc2We have been blessed with so many kids attending our Sunday School class, but at times it can be hard to manage!

mcoc3Men's tea night continues to be a great time to chat and spend time with the guys. We thank God for finally making this ministry a hit!

mcoc4Many of the men have also been coming on Sunday morning.

mcoc5Jennifer shares a Bible story during our Sunday afternoon park ministry.

mcocnnWe gather for prayer with our partnering church coworkers after the park ministry.

mcoc6Our Mid-Autumn Festival BBQ was packed with young families.

mcoc7Many of the kids had looked forward to roasting marshmallows all week long!

mcoc8We had a Pomelo decorating contest during the BBQ.

mcoc9Parents gather around to watch our judges decide the winners of the Pomelo contest.
