Exciting News
What a joy it is to write to you today and share with you how the Lord has been and is working in the lives of the Halbert family.  In our last update, at the end of April, we were adjusting to life with a newborn, our support level was at 70%, and we were excited to share with you about how and when the Lord provides the final 30%.  We asked you to pray that the Lord would bring in the needed support.

Thank you for your prayers. WE ARE CLOSE! In the past couple of months our support has increased significantly.  By the great goodness of the Lord, we are now at 85% of our monthly need.  We have had a number of unexpected additional supporters join our team in unexpected ways.  We even had a family who we hadn’t met reach out to us to hear more about what the Lord is doing in Honduras and from that conversation, begin supporting us and the work in Honduras.  We still have several churches making decisions on support in the near future and are currently following up with potential supporting churches.  We would ask that you continue to pray that the Lord would bring in the final 15% soon.

We would also ask you to pray about passports.  We are still waiting on new ones for Alex & Maggie and a first one for Wallace.  We are praying that support and passports will come in the coming weeks and we can make the transition to language school some time in August.

Family Update
Overall, the family is doing well. We have had a lot going on with both family items as well as visiting churches. Emma Kate recently turned 6. William turns 5 on Saturday. Wallace just turned 2 months. Alex & Maggie are about to celebrate 13 years of marriage on Monday.  And, Warren is enjoying being 2 and pointing out ALL the police cars and firetrucks wherever we go in the car.

The past couple of weeks have been especially difficult.  Maggie’s sweet 13 year old niece, Emily, who had been battling a rare form of progeria, pasted away early Sunday morning the 13th.  We were supposed to meet up with Maggie's family and see Emily on the 14th, but she passed away prior to our arrival.  We are extremely disappointed that we didn’t get to see her prior to her death. There is however great comfort in knowing that Emily was a believer and we will get to see her again in glory.  And when we see her, we will get to see an Emily who isn’t struggling with sickness or pain.  Please keep Maggie’s family in your prayers, especially her brother, Justin and sister-in-law, Kristina.
