"You must promise to return and teach the second half of Romans to us!" 

That is what 150 Congolese and another 150 Rwandan pastors said to us after we completed the first half of Romans.  So last summer completed the study with them.

I am now returning with Dave Forbes (an elder at Christ Covenant Church, Knoxville) and Matt Bradley (a pastor at All Saints Presbyterian Church in Brentwood, TN). In two weeks we will begin teaching Certified Course Instructor Training to the top pastors from each region.

They understand that we will go deeper and longer for an entire week on the study of Romans 11-16.  With 20 gathered for a week at each location, we will have more teaching time, more small group study following the instruction, then several will re-teach the content before us for evaluation and refinement.

The  result?
We gain a degree of assurance that they truly understand Romans. Many questions will come our way as African church ideas and practices will be challenged and transformed.  This happened last summer. In place of these unbiblical ideas, a much greater Biblical comprehension will take place.  Upon completion, the teams will return to their regions with a plan to organize and travel in groups of three to instruct their pastoral peer groups in churches, Bible schools, and regions well beyond where we gathered.

I love this part of the Lord's work. It is confirmation that your prayers and investment in my going is bearing fruit among many leaders and churches.  God bless you in standing with me

After leaving Knoxville on Friday, March 2, we will arrive in Kigali, Rwanda on Saturday.  Then leaving the following day we will travel to the DR Congo border to begin teaching the trainers of trainers in Rom 11-16...

I need your prayers in these two weeks of lengthy instruction and training.  I am still $3000 short of covering all expenses for travel but as always am trusting the faithfulness of God in answering prayers for His provision.

Once again, through a dear sister in Christ, funds were provided to purchase and deliver 12 Study Bibles in the Kinyarwandan language. These Bibles will provide amazing Bible Study resources in their hands!
