HAPPY NEW YEAR

Every year I like to mix things up  with our newsletter.  New Year, New Look!  This year my goal is on the last day of each month to  give that month's highlight.  At anytime you can check in with Peter Project's and Door of Hope's (Puerta de Esperanza) Facebook pages to find out what is happening with those ministries (links below).  If at any time the highlights do not include info on a particular ministry, please send us a message and ask! We would love to chat with you about all God is doing here in Honduras.

We spent New Years at the church plant in Tegucigalpa.  John, Josiah and Evan were able to work with the team there to build an extension that allowed room for an extra 40 chairs.  Then two weeks later, Honduras hosted the annual Central American Pastor's Conference.  The focus this year was on church planting.  Our prayer, not only in Honduras, but all across Central America, is that God will continue to establish and grow His Church.  That He will raise up solid mature men in sound reformed theology to pastor churches all over.  We pray for mature dedicated wives to come alongside their husband's in support.

Of course, we are particularly excited for the establishment of a Presbyterian denomination in Honduras.  The next step in that becoming a reality is the final ordination step for Pastor Josue Pineda.  That will take place in just a few days from now.

PRAISES
1. The Cains return to La Ceiba on Feb 2nd:  They have been on their HMA (home ministry assignment) for the last 9 months.  we are ready to have them home!
2. The protection of Dr Roger and his family in a car accident they were involved in.  They were run off the road by a bus.
3. You - are supporters - we praise the LORD for your faithfulness in prayer and financial support.  You are a vital part of the ministry here in Honduras.

PRAYERS
1. Pray for continued wisdom as the men on the team seek God's guidance for the direction of church planting in Honduras. We continue to see the great need for the mercy ministries in La Ceiba to be under a solid church.
2. Pray for God to raise up a national pastor for La Ceiba, and for our patience as we wait for the LORD to establish a church in La Ceiba
3. Pray for the house mom's in  PDE (single mom's home).  We want to give them all the tools they need, so that they can train the young teenage moms to be Godly young women who can care for themselves and their babies.
