For years we played the game “highs and lows” with the kids.  As they got older they would moan and roll their eyes when I would say, ”Let’s play!”  It’s a chance to tell the best part of your day and also the worst part.  In this day of ‘social media’ we love to put our best foot forward and leave the bad behind, hidden.  But, that’s not really life, is it?  It’s not reality.  Bad stuff happens.  Grief happens.  Praise the Father that He knows and understands and comforts us in that.

For this END OF 2021 newsletter I thought I would give you some of our highs and lows - let’s all just keep it real, shall we?

HIGHS:
*Our traveling and visiting churches and friends (both new and old) in the States.  We accumulated a lot sky miles, and the LORD kept us healthy and safe throughout it all.
*Returning home to Honduras on October 19th.  Reacclimating to the country, weather, team, ministry, etc brought us a joy (sometimes that included a low too…but right now it fits in the high list).  So blessed to be called to this life!
*We gained a new daughter-in-law.  Josiah married Taylor on December 1.  We were able to return to the States and be there to witness their vows towards one another.

LOWS:
*Saying goodbye to our children; leaving them all in the States as we returned to Honduras.  WE MISS THEM so much!
*Returning to La Ceiba and seeing first hand the affect COVID has had on life and ministry here.
***the final low has it’s own post:

It’s with sad hearts that we share the news that Dr Roger has resigned from the clinic and our team.  He made this decision after months of careful consideration.  He feels strongly this is the direction and leading of the LORD.  We ask for and covet your prayers for Roger and his family.  He is (and still remains) a dearly loved brother.  We have cherished the almost 10 years of working and serving with him.  Equally loved are his wife and children.  We are and will remain in contact and friendship with them; seeking to love and serve them as the LORD leads us.

As a team we are asking (and covet your prayers) for wisdom.  Prayers to know what the LORD’s leading is for MTW medical ministry in La Ceiba.

Thank you for your love, prayers and support!
