Investing in Freshmen
Here is a picture of the Cru Freshmen Men's Group recently. Here, they are getting ready to witness a 'Men's tip of the Week.' In this case, how to change a tire.
I have enjoyed sharing the Word of God with Freshmen on EKU's campus. A good number of the guys who attend our weekly Freshmen Bible study come from a church background, while some do not. Some are very new followers of Christ as well, even within the last few weeks.
Will you pray for the guys in this group? That they will wholeheartedly follow Jesus by confessing their sin, walking in the power of the Holy Spirit, serving in their local church, etc. First and foremost, that those in the group that do not know Christ will turn from their life of sin and trust in Christ as Savior and Lord.
Me with a Freshman.
His name is Harold. He is a believer, and we are looking at the book of Philipians together here. I have enjoyed getting to know Harold and being able to mentor him in some capacity. I did not know the picture was being taken. One of my good friends on staff, Joey, snuck this one! I look forward to updating you soon with some Fall Getaway pictures and further update about the Freshmen Men's community Group. Currently, we have around 20 involved, and I have really enjoyed helping lead those young men. Thank you for your faithful prayers.
