Dear prayer partners,

We only have 2 more months left in Taiwan before we return to the US for a 1-year home assignment. Here's how you can pray:

-- On May 16 we will ordain Jordan Yao as the new pastor of Sanhe Church and officially turn over the ministry to him (invitation card pictured above). This has been a 10-year work that is almost complete! Although the church still has plenty of challenges ahead, our role in evangelizing, baptizing, teaching, establishing elders and hiring/training a local pastor is done. Please pray that the ordination service would be a meaningful time for Jordan, his family and friends, and our church.

-- We are beginning research on our next ministry location, Xingang -- in northwest Chiayi County. God has already opened up doors for us to meet several people who are eager to help us reach out to to this township that is literally centered around a large temple. Please pray we could finish gathering all the information we need and for God to bless these initial meetings with potential local partners.

-- In addition to passing off our church and preparing for home assignment, Jennifer will be especially busy these next few weeks in her role at our field's church planting coordinator as she travels to visit teams before we leave. She will also be starting a women's small group Bible study (topic: interpersonal relationships) that will hopefully continue after they leave. Please pray for her to have time to get everything done and for her health to hold up, as she has had more health issues arise.

-- We are busy arranging things on the US side as will be spending spending our first home assignment in College Station, TX, Jennifer's hometown. In the Fall we will also begin raising funds and contacting our church partners to arrange visits. We are eager to share about what God has been doing in Taiwan and what lies ahead in our next church planting adventure. Lord willing, Thomas will also begin Doctor of Ministry studies while Stateside that can be continued from Taiwan over the next few years.

Thank you for partnering with us all these years to make this ministry succeed, and we look forward to what God will do in the future as we continue to partner in God's great mission to the world.

With gratitude,
Thomas & Jennifer
