Dear prayer partners,

The fall is always busy for us and we entered into it with full force with our annual mid-Autumn Festival BBQ outreach and then our annual OMF Field Conference. We had a number of responsibilities at the conference but all went well and there was a record-breaking number of attendees. (Hardly anyone could go on Home Assignment this year because of Covid!)

After this we added two new members to our team: a Taiwanese seminary intern who has a burden for children and missions work, and Sharon, who recently married Kevin, the single guy on our team! Jennifer will mentor her during the next 6 months, as they decide their next steps as a couple. Praise God that, like Kevin, she has a burden for mission to the Taiwanese.

In the next two months we'll have a Thanksgiving outreach, Jennifer will continue her class on interpersonal skills, Thomas will preach and continue to meet with Mr. Hwang for baptism preparation, and we'll have a slew of Christmas activities. A YWAM team based in Taipei will come to help us since their ministry has been slow because of Covid. Also, we have recently added a Wednesday evening service option (via taped preaching) for those who can't attend on Sunday due to work--please pray that these people will make it a regular priority to come.

It's also looking like we'll have 2-3 baptisms at Christmas! We're excited as it has been awhile since we did this last! Here's how you can pray:

1) That Mr. Hwang, one of those considering baptism, would have absolute clarity about whether he wants to accept Jesus as his Savior and be baptized.

2) That the Lord would bring more regular members to San-he Gospel Church. Jennifer will try to work with Kevin and Sharon to both train and join them in more local evangelism.

3) Our current term of service has been quite long due to Covid and a previous medical leave (in year 4 now!). Thomas especially is quite tired. Pray for strength to endure and that things would work out for us to return for a home assignment starting May 2021.

3) For all the activities mentioned above.

In Him,
Thomas & Jennifer McIntyre - OMF Taiwan
