Dear Prayer Supporters,

Tis' the season to share the good news. Here's how you can partner with us in prayer as we begin the busy holiday season.

1) Our efforts in securing permanent local coworker (and possible future pastor) are moving quickly. Yongnan (pictured below) will preach his first sermon at our church November 19. Please pray that he does a good job and that people can relate to him well. These next few months are a trial period for him. If things go well, he could join us full-time when he graduates seminary in June. We'll also have another seminary intern from Burma (Aaron) working with us over the next few months. Pray also for good attendance at our Sunday services.

2) Our two Malaysian short-term interns, Stephen & Yvonne, arrive November 21 and will help us with our outreaches. We'll have a big Thanksgiving outreach (our biggest of the year) on Saturday November 25. We hope to acquire big turkeys not made with no soy sauce! Please pray that the drama we'll perform at the center will communicate the message of Thanksgiving and Christianity well. The next day (Nov. 22) we'll have a Thanksgiving outreach in the park, and on the 29th we'll do a big performance in a local school in front of 200 kids and faculty. Pray that the Gospel would go forth!

3) Thomas will be in meetings next week while Jennifer travels to Thailand for a training course. Please pray that our family could stay healthy during this time. We have all been quite sick over the past few weeks and seem to pass it back and forth with no end in sight.

4) The final decision on the satellite school will happen in December. Please keep praying. Another couple that had applied to be teachers just pulled out.

5) We have many other things going on like one-on-one Bible studies with seekers, guitar lessons to a family at their home, baptism preparation for a person who wants to be baptized in Jan. but still may be fuzzy about certain aspects of faith, a church outing (this weekend), a outreach where we give away second-hand clothes, and a short-term team from Singapore coming in December, when we'll have another slew of activities. Please pray that all the people in our church would still be cared for while we do these many outreaches, and that the details fall into place. We want to work hard in spreading the Gospel but also not burn out.

With Thanksgiving,
Thomas & Jennifer --- OMF - Taiwan

OMF Taiwan had their annual field conference in October. Jennifer led a number of the worship sessions and Thomas led the communion service.

Ashlee (7) enjoyed her holiday in October. Pray for her to do well in Chinese school, as it has been difficult to start first grade in Chinese coming from an American kindergarten.

Tyler (5) walks the tightrope during his vacation in October. Pray for his health as his eyes have had allergic reactions to the intense pollution in Chiayi. Chiayi city (next to Zhongpu) is now ranked #7 in the world for having the worst air quality. Many people have been affected.
