mormay2Medical Successes and Needs!

We sent Rosa's mother at the dump to La Ceiba for much needed surgery! She is having surgery today for an infection in her foot resulting from her Diabetes. She was the one who allowed us to put the fresh water tank at her property. Please pray for success and healing for her!

Ty's baby was born at 24 weeks premature and is losing his sight and having epileptic seizures. They are admitting him today for surgery and treatment. Please pray for additional funding for the care and for healing for his baby.

Our oldest daughter Ella arrives today from the states where she is in her Undergrad PreMed program. She will be going to a missionary hospital on the mainland for a month to work as a translator and assist at the Loma de Luz hospital outside La Ceiba. Please pray for her travels and safety as she serves the community and missionaries there.

Highlights and Current Projects
mormay1

Thanks to a generous donation of money and help from our friends in Indiana, we were able to complete walls for a kitchen in our church plant Cristo Rey. Last week, a friend helped us complete the wiring for the kitchen and add lights for the church. We are now assembling the items and raising funds to complete the kitchen with stovetops and pots and pans. Once completed, Pastor Rossell and his wife will be able to expand their feeding program for the children in the very poor neighborhood they serve. We estimate about $800 to complete this project.

LAND AT THE DUMP:
In the last year, we have lost 3 houses to fire and another 4 houses were bulldozed as they were squatting on land they didn't own. Our big dream is to buy approximately a half acre to acre near the dump in order to have a place to build homes and a community center/church for the families that live and work here. We have contacted multiple people so far about land and we believe it will be between $5000 and $10,000 to purchase the land. This is the first step in providing families a safe and sustainable community with small farm, hydroponics and a staging area for discipleship and job training that can help lift them out of their desparate situations. Without your support, these families will stay in this dangerous cycle of poverty and despair.

How can you help?

We need your prayers, support and teams!

Current project needs for prayer, finances and mission teams include an orphanage dorm construction/ painting at the orphanage, house construction for an older gentleman (Mr. Rene) living in the dump, projects at a church/hurricane shelter, sports and tutoring at Orphanage and Miss Deborah's school and construction and medical assistance at the local dump. We love seeing teams come to serve and we know that it always gives a broader understanding of God's kingdom. Housing is available for teams and families at www.seascaperoatan.com.

Please join with us in praying for these and many more spiritual and physical needs. We can provide all the fliers, info and resources to organize a group to come down. Gather your family, some friends, a Sunday school or church and be a blessing to others as God changes your heart as well. You can email us at tmorin@roatanmission.com for our family or team info packet.

R Church
Our church in West Bay continues to grow with about 140 attending weekly and we are praying about space for the upcoming high season. Travis just celebrated his 5th year as pastor of R Church and is currently teaching through the book of Mark in a sermon series title "Discovering the Savior".

Tish continues to see counseling clients and is on call for emergencies at Clinica Esperanza, and around the island. She also does therapy at Sandy Bay Orphanage and leads the Ladies Bible study.

May God Bless You!

En Cristo,

Travis, Tish, Ella, Zach, Heather and Eli
