Dear friends,

Thank you for your consistent and faithful prayers. Here are some things that we are thankful for and some things that we are asking God for...

1) The second semester has ended! I am glad to be between semesters and to be able to catch up on some administrative work. Praise God for another successful semester!

2) We had our pastor and his wife over for dinner on Saturday night. We are thankful for God's provision of a new church home for us. The process of switching churches has taken about a year and was a great cause of stress so we are happy to finally be "settled" in a church.

3) Ann Renee had her interview for school. We are thankful that she was "approved" for first grade (she had some tests to take). We are also thankful that she is super excited about school starting in February (we are on a South American system here so summer is November thru January and the new school year starts in February).

Here are some things we would ask that you lift up before the Lord:

1) I will be traveling again in September, this time to Quito, Ecuador. I will be participating in another conference. The dates are September 19-22 (Monday - Thursday). You can pray for traveling safety and Julie as she will be home with the kids. The director of ESEPA, Sadrac Meza, and I plan to turn in our accreditation paperwork. Pray that it would meet with approval or at least leave relatively little to improve upon.

2) Continue to pray for Julie's health. She had a couple of migraines last week, something she has not dealt with (praise God) since her surgery. Her nose still has not completely healed from surgery due to allergies - pray that God would grant the doctors wisdom and answers.

3) I am slowly catching up at work. The most pressing issue is grades (they are due Friday). I have six classes to grade for but I have been able finish three of them. I am still waiting for a couple of students to get work in as well.

4) You can pray for our support level. We are having to increase our support which means more support raising. I am currently planning to be in the US for a couple of weeks in November. I will be in Columbia, SC area for about half of the trip and then head west for a fund-raiser for ESEPA over Thanksgiving weekend. Pray that God would provide opportunities to meet with churches and people to share the work that he has called us to. Ultimately we know that all our support comes from Him and so we are asking that he would provide for what he knows our need to be (as opposed to what we think our need is).

Thank your faithful prayers. We appreciate your willingness to lift is up to the Lord as often as you are reminded!

Blessings,

Andrew (for Julie and the kids)
