In the final Kigali conferences the team witnessed the impact that our teaching brought to the leaders. For close to an hour the top leaders sat us down and spoke publicly about their gratitude for what had been learned. They thanked God, the teams, the churches and supporters who provided resources to minister to them. Our ministry mentored the Pastors and leaders of churches, the children's ministry leaders, and of course the women's ministry.

One afternoon over the weekend, we met the leaders of the former prostitutes ministry and saw first hand what they are doing. They were on the street running micro businesses which provides sufficient income to their families. Christian transformation of character and productivity was obvious. We stood on the street in a Muslim neighborhood as testimonies were openly given by these Christian ladies. They sang, shared how Christ changed their lives. I looked over and saw a good sized Muslim group standing and listening. At one point a young Muslim woman walked up, stood next to me and listened carefully to the testimony of Christ through one of the ladies.

The first week began with challenges. It appeared that Nathan might not arrive in time to leave for the 6 hour trip to the first conference.

His KLM flight experienced multiple delays beginning in Amsterdam, and then Kigali. Though he was only 30 minutes flight time from Entebbe, due to many mechanical failures they cancelled his flight, put the passengers in a motel and gave no idea on what would happen next. Nathan was alone in a strange city as we were communicating through emails and texts. As both of us prayed, at one point I fell on my face and asked God to move this mountain.

Clearly God had called Nathan, provided the means, and there was no way He would fail to get Nathan to Entebbe in time enough to leave by noon. So in utter desperation I asked the Lord to make a way. All during this night, I sat at the airport from 10:30PM until 2:30AM. I was also exhausted when I got into bed at 3AM with no answers!

Such experiences are always a challenge to see How God will answer prayer. I could not teach alone all week. Adding to this your prayers were before the Father's Throne. God answered prayer through in a 20 minute window of opportunity the next morning, with only 7 minutes left before the airline closed the desk. Nathan secured a ticket on another African airline and left immediately. I was able to get back to Entebbe airport and meet him in a moment's notice. We left shortly after that for Mbarara and our first conference to begin the next day.

The next two conferences were incredible. As God moved, the pastors struggled, they exhausted us with questions, but the light of understanding opened up their minds on the third day. The response was one of joy and dancing over these new truths from God's eternal book.

Beginning on the second day of the last conference, I came down with Malaria and I taught for hours with the impact of the illness. I cried out to God for strength all the next day and finally was able to get medicine before leaving to return home.

Forgive me for lateness in this report, but between having Malaria and doubling my teaching load for all 4 weeks, I have returned exhausted but thrilled over how God worked through challenges and weakness. I have turned the corner on the Malaria and I am fine at present. What a privilege to serve Jesus with my son Nathan. God used him in amazing ways, He preached on the radio which went out to DR Congo, Rwanda and Uganda. He preached 2 times in two different services. Then he taught another group of businessmen, all in addition to his part in the conference.

Thank you for all your prayers and support in this work. It was worth every minute of God's sending us out to teach His awesome Book.
