Please make plans to join us for our annual World Missions Conference from February 23 through March 3, 2024.

GiotisThis year, we welcome Dr. Panagiotis (Giotis) Kantartzis as our conference speaker for the first weekend of our missions conference. Giotis has served as senior pastor of the First Greek Evangelical Church in Athens, Greece (the oldest Protestant church in Greece) since 1999. Giotis studied sociology (B.A. - University of Athens) and theology (Diploma - Greek Bible College, M.Div. - Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, Th.M. - Boston University School of Theology, PhD - Divinity School, University of Thessaloniki). He is the author of the book A Christian’s Pocket Guide to Eastern Orthodox Theology: An Evangelical Perspective.

In 2008 Giotis was instrumental in the creation of the Polis Church Planting Network which was established with the goal of identifying and training godly men and sending them out to plant new churches in urban neighborhoods. The result is ten churches planted. In 2018 Christ Covenant was asked to partner with a new ministry to the homeless of Athens. This ministry of the First Evangelical Church in Athens was sparked by Giotis making a visit to KARM here in Knoxville. Giotis is married to Nopie and they have three sons: George, Theophilos, and Jason.
