We'll hike Charlie's Bunion Saturday, Aug 14th!  SIGN UP HERE!

The Charlie's Bunion hike is one of the most popular hikes in the park and will certainly be worth your time and effort.  The Bunion is a rock outcropping that provides a full 360 degree view of a beautiful area of the park. If you go all the way to the Bunion, it will be an 8-mile hike. But, since this is another out-and-back hike, you do not have to go all the way.  There are plenty of interesting features along the way that you can turn around whenever you want and still have a good hike. One option would be to go to The Jumpoff, which is about 3 miles in and provides a view of the Bunion from the top of a sheer cliff.

The plan will be to meet at the church at the usual time of 7:30 and carpool to the trailhead, which is at Newfound Gap.  As usual, bring good shoes/boots and socks, rain gear, lunch and a snack, plus plenty of water.
