Christ Covenant Church provides several ways for adults to grow in their faith and connect with others:
ADULT SUNDAY CLASSES
Adult Sunday classes help build genuine communities within Christ Covenant, centered around the teaching of God's Word. It is our goal to teach all of God's Word, so that each adult will grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
We offer a variety of classes throughout the year. For the FALL Adult Sunday classes click here.
We are also offering on 3 Wednesday evenings "Parenting During Adolescent Years" where parents of teens will gather and talk about the unique struggles of parenting during the adolescent years. If you are a parent of a middle school or high school student, please come! Led by Dr. Jim Coffield. September 19, October 24, and November 14 from 6-7:30pm.
We have small groups of 10-16 people who meet on a regular basis to encourage one another as we live out the Christian life. These groups are designed to help you grow relationally and personally by offering a time of sharing, praying, and studying. More information and class list on the Small Group page.
**New group for singles: SINGLE FOCUS
All singles of every age and stage of life are invited to this new group called Single Focus. This group is all about getting out and about for fun activities and friendship. For more information, contact Kathleen Lyon at email@example.com.
CHURCH HISTORY CLASS
The Church History Class resumed September 9, at 7:00 pm in the Choir Room. The class is looking at the medieval period from about 500 AD to about 1500AD and uses the video teaching series by Dr. Robert Godfrey from Ligonier Ministries, with supplemental material and ample opportunity for discussion. If you would like more information, please contact Paul Whalen.
MARRIAGE SEMINAR BY DR. JIM COFFIELD held January 2018: to obtain a PASSWORD to view these sessions, please contact Julie Easton by email or at the church office 671-1885. Then CLICK HERE to view the seminar sessions.
DIVORCE SUPPORT MINISTRY
This ministry exists to ease the painful burden of divorce. The team will include someone who has experienced divorce and a deacon. They will meet once every other month. The team primarily focuses on these six areas: Spiritual Encouragement, Family Support, Legal Concerns, Financial Issues, Housing Challenges, and Holiday and Social Fellowship. For more information, please contact the church office at 865-671-1885 or Susan Horn or David Forbes. "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." Galatians 6:2
Throughout the year, Sunday morning classes and small groups, as well as other ministries in our church, have the opportunity to participate in various service projects in and for our community.
