Christ Covenant provides several ways for adults to grow in their faith and connect with others:
ADULT SUNDAY CLASSES help build genuine communities within Christ Covenant, centered around the teaching of God's Word. It is our goal to teach all of God's Word, so that each adult will grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. We offer a variety of classes throughout the year.
We have small groups of 10-16 people who meet on a regular basis to encourage one another as we live out the Christian life. These groups are designed to help you grow relationally and personally by offering a time of sharing, praying, and studying. More information and class list on the Small Group page.
The loss of a loved one can be devastating. If you are looking for a caring group of people to walk alongside you through one of life's most difficult experiences, please join us on Tuesdays for GriefShare. Dr. Jim Coffield will host this group for anyone wanting to meet together and support each other through their loss. The meeting will begin at 6:30pm in the Warehouse with a light meal together, and the class will meet from 7:00-8:30pm. The group will meet for 13 weeks. Class participants do not need to attend Christ Covenant.
If you would like to attend this class, please contact Jan Doll at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Dr. Jim Coffield addresses some of the stresses on marriage due to the health crisis in a video short series.
The Marriage Ministry has various events for married couples throughout the year including retreats and outings.
DIVORCE SUPPORT MINISTRY
This ministry exists to ease the painful burden of divorce. The team will include someone who has experienced divorce and a deacon. They will meet once every other month. The team primarily focuses on these six areas: Spiritual Encouragement, Family Support, Legal Concerns, Financial Issues, Housing Challenges, and Holiday and Social Fellowship. For more information, please contact the church office at 865-671-1885 or Susan Horn or David Forbes. "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." Galatians 6:2
Throughout the year, Sunday morning classes and small groups, as well as other ministries in our church, have the opportunity to participate in various service projects in and for our community.
