Faithfully caring for your aging parents will challenge your idols, wrangle your selfishness, cultivate your cheerfulness, and deepen your dependency upon Christ. You will grow in love, compassion, and wisdom as you learn to become a “team player.” The next generation will notice and learn from your example. This seminar, led by Rev. Byron Peters, will explore Biblical and practical tools for navigating this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to glorify God and truly love your nearest neighbor for Jesus’s sake.

Rev. Byron Peters is pastor of Christ Community Church (PCA) in Chapel Hill, NC, which he helped to plant. He earned his MDiv from Westminster theological seminary after serving 12 years on staff with Cru at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Byron is married to Ruby Bea and has four grown children. He is the author of a New Growth Press mini-book entitled "Caring for an Aging Parent: Honoring As You Serve" which grew out of his experience of helping to care for his mother through her 15-years of Alzheimer's.
