September 2020

Hello from Tennessee!
Wow, it has been two months since I started working full-time. What an amazing, stressful, and crazy time it has been. With any new job, the beginning is always filled with organizing and figuring out a system. A schedule. I know many of you still wonder what my role looks like...So I want to share a little bit of what my normal week looks like!

Meetings
I have lots of meetings. Working from afar, even without COVID, guarantees that I do a lot of interactions online. One of my highlights is getting to see my team every Friday morning. While we process the week and what we have been working on, I so appreciate that we take time to do check-ins and team building. We are never short of laughter and encouragement-for which I am so thankful.

Writing
One of my main roles in the Media Department is being a creative writer. Each week this can look totally different, which keeps me on my toes. There are a few projects that are consistent throughout my weeks such as managing the blog, proofing material, and sharing e-versions of newsletters. Also, our New International missionaries contact me to help them create content for their newsletters or other projects, which is such a blessing to get to play a part in sharing what God is doing around the world.

Travel
While this has definitely been affected by COVID, one role of my job is the ability to travel and offer media for projects. I am extremely thankful for the opportunity to travel to Indiana September 26-30! I will be partnering with Ends of the Earth Cycling, a partner ministry of New International. This bike ride is raising money and awareness for Young Life Bolivia. With suicide being the second most common cause of death for youth in Bolivia, Young Life knew they needed to target this group to share the light and hope of Christ! My role on this trip will be photographer! Click here if you would like to partner with me in raising money for Young Life Bolivia! I'm excited and so thankful to get to help play a part in sharing the stories of EndsCycling and Young Life Bolivia. Be watching for more updates from our trip!

Prayer Requests:
-For the Indiana ride: safety, partners to give to Young Life Bolivia, and that I would support the riders and the rest of the team well!
-As I resume co-teaching the 10th grade girls small group at church
-Wisdom and creativity as I desire to tell how our affiliates are expanding the Kingdom

How can I be praying for you?

Love and Peace
