Challenging Times
We have not written in quite a while due to being short-staffed at CIT and Kathy’s dad having a heart attack in June. Unfortunately, her dad had to move from home to assisted living. He is 92 years old and this is a hard transition for him.

In addition, a couple of our staff in our TCK program have tested positive for Covid requiring us to do some creative staffing while others are being quarantined. Please pray for no further spread among staff or students.

George is assuming additional roles and teaching in this current training term. We need your prayers as these things unfold and as George leads the team through these challenging times.

“This retreat is just what our family needed. We arrived confused, hurt, and burned out. We knew that we needed to process all of this but didn’t know where to begin. CIT walked alongside us and pointed us to Jesus. The curriculum and time to reflect were so helpful. Hearing stories and fellowshipping with other missionaries was also important and healthy. Our kids received loving care and had a blast! My daughter even learned to ride a bike! Thank you, CIT!!   JB – Kenya

Personal
Kathy has been caring for Dorothy Kate several days each week this summer in addition to helping with her dad and his home.   We managed to squeeze in a week of staycation when our grandsons Landon and Edmund came to visit from PA.  We had a lot of fun doing “Grandparent Camp” with the grandkids!

Thank you for your ongoing prayer and financial support which allows us to continue this role of preparing missionaries for faithful service around a fast-changing world. We stand amazed at how God has provided for us despite our weaknesses and failings.

We would also appreciate your prayers for Kathy’s dad as he goes through a time of transition at the assisted living home.  It was very difficult for him to leave his home of 62 years.

And thank you for your prayers for CIT and protection during this time of Covid.  What a relief to know that all things come through the hands of our loving Father.  We are praying for you as well.

George and Kathy Schultz
