Paul's Stewardship is Passed to the Body
Colossians 1:24-26

 
"24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am filling up what is lacking in Christ's afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church, 25 of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known, 26 the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints."
 
Paul the Apostle laid a foundation upon which we will build this week.  He suffered much in Christ to lay that foundation, we have not paid the same price.  I hate the long ride in an uncomfortable airline seat, but often remind myself, "Paul was flogged for Jesus, so I guess I can be uncomfortable in this seat for Jesus."  Indeed.
 
As Dave Forbes brings the team, I will leave the house at 3:50AM Thursday morning - I will continue to be thankful to the Lord for His answers to your prayers and additionally want to say "Thank You" for your partnership in praying and making this trip possible.
 
I feel a great responsibility to further the preparations for a Government Certified School for the pastors. Pray for guidance and wisdom as I continue to work on this challenge.

RWANDA AND DRC
Again the Lord has provided an amazing team of instructors who have many years of ministry experience.  Seth Hammond is the lead pastor at Christ Covenant Church, Knoxville, TN.  MItchell Moore is an Elder here as well.  I have the privilege of working with both these brothers in ministry for Christ here.  God has graciously placed us together as a team to share God's Word on the subject of "Christian Stewardship" which will be a totally new study for these 300+ pastors and leaders.

Trust God with us to transform His Church in the DR Congo and Rwanda.  It is our prayer that church history will be furthered in the strengthening of His Bride on the continent of Africa.

Please pray:
 - Thank the Father for His Provision to go these next two weeks
 - Intercede for safety in travel, all connections made going and coming, luggage to arrive
 - The Lord to Prepare the Pastors for God's Word in order to strengthen them
 - The Team to clearly communicate what God wants them to know
 - For our families back home while we are gone to serve Christ
