Dear prayer supporters,

These are exciting times as our church grows faster than we can handle. Last week we had over 40 people in attendance for Sunday worship, including some new seekers. One non-Christian man was asked when he became interested in Christianity, and he said, "when I was in jail!" Another was asked why he was interested, and he said "I'm tired of getting into so many fights!" It's truly amazing to see the people whom God brings us. As we enter into the holiday season, our church planting ministry is about to get even busier. Here's how you can partner with us in prayer.

1) We have a large Thanksgiving outreach on November 18. Normally we do this on a Saturday night, but this year we're going to try it during our Sunday service to give new people a chance to see and experience our church. Please pray that many new people would come, and pray for us as we present the Gospel message. We'll have a big feast for lunch, including turkeys and "Taiwanese style" American dishes. (last year many were turned off by Jennifer's American food!)

2) We have a short-term team from Singapore coming December 15-26 to help us with our many Christmas outreach activities. Pray for us to have health and energy as we work together to share Christ with so many people who have never heard.

3) We give thanks that 11 adults signed up for our class on how to study the Bible using a Study Bible, and that God raised up a few generous donors to help with this project. Thank you for your prayers and partnership to make this possible! The class will start in January.

4) Jennifer has numerous one-on-one Bible studies going each week, and has been quite busy. Pray for her as she leads so many women, encouraging them to walk with the Lord each day. Thomas has been preaching through a mini series on Exodus. With so much going on at the church, we're praying that the Lord will send us new workers with OMF.

5) We ran into a few delays as we tried to appoint leaders for our church. Scheduling with work or resistant spouses has become quite an issue. We are also actively looking for a Taiwanese pastor, and have approached 2 people now. One is not interested, but another might be. Please pray that God would quickly provide an indigenous leader to work alongside us for a season, and that our church would be generous with their pocketbooks so we can afford to pay him a salary. We do have weekly offerings, but it is still quite minimal.

With thanks,
Thomas & Jennifer (see pictures below)   OMF- Taiwan

amn2Our weekly park ministry has attracted big crowds as the weather becomes cooler.
Pray for good conversations as we witness to the community.

amn3 Despite trying it for over a year, men did not like sharing prayer requests during our small group time after the service. Most refused to do it, or just asked us to pray for "more money." Everyone felt uncomfortable. Now we've changed the format so that men just drink tea and chat informally.

amn4 The women share and pray together after the service.

amn5Families enjoy making crafts that relate to the Bible story that we share each week.

amn6 Sunday school attendance has increased to 11-15 kids.

amn7 Ashlee and Tyler both celebrated their birthdays.

amn8We now have a friend who comes each month to cook for our church lunch. It was so popular that our new convert Yongyi (pictured here) volunteered to cook a delicious meal for everyone.
