The McIntyre Prayer Inquirer

Dear prayer supporters,Thank you for your faithful prayers and financial partnership throughout 2019 that made our work in Taiwan possible. Here's how you can pray as the year comes to an end.1) We have just appointed 2 new church coworkers (elders) for the upcoming 2020 calendar year. One of our previous coworkers, despite our best efforts at counseling, was unable to make things work with her verbally abusive husband and has gone through a divorce.
Another coworker, Rachel, will be going to Japan partly to figure out if it's God's will for her to do long-term missions. But we are excited about the 4 people who will serve on the upcoming coworker board, especially as we seek to pass more and more church responsibilities over to locals.

2) Our new pastor, Jordan, will have major surgery in November and will be on a liquid diet for a month. Our team will be busy supporting him, his wife, and 2 kids (both under the age of 3). Pray for a safe, successful surgery and for his family to be able
to take on more responsibilities after he fully recovers. Coming from a traditional working-class background himself, he has many emotional and spiritual barriers to overcome in order to feel confident as a leader. Time management is one big issue. However, we are excited about the other ways that he and his wife are taking initiative to disciple our members.

3) Our annual Thanksgiving outreach (the biggest of the year) is set for November 16. Pray for many new people to come and, not only hear the Gospel, but stick around for further church activities.

4) Pray for our youth group (pictured above). It has struggled with attendance as many of the youth come from broken families and are under intense academic pressure. With the current youth leader, Rachel, going to Japan, we will need to figure out a way to keep the group running well.

5) Two of our NZ colleagues have sadly left the mission field. It has been a long, strenuous process for all involved. Pray for our team to recover from many of the hardships that have taken place over the past few months and for us to remain united and focused on reaching the unreached with the Gospel.
