"I began the Debrief Retreat feeling like it would be a Joshua moment, a moment in time where God would move in big ways, and we would look back and see that it was Him who parted the waters. I look back now and see that did happen. We were a part of something much bigger, something even words cannot fully describe, other than it was God." Comment from one of our facilitators.

We were truly amazed by all God has done. The work we'd put into this retreat felt worth it when we saw bewilderment giving way to deeper peace and hope in the grace of a loving God as we move forward as His ambassadors. It was really an amazing week to watch God at work. What a privilege! We are so thankful. So in awe of our powerful God!

Comments from the field
I cannot say enough about the children's portion of CIT. Our daughters learned and grew so much. They refer back to something that Mrs. Kathy told them frequently. The comment is often something like...."Mrs. Kathy told us about this. I am so thankful that I knew this would happen (or I knew I would feel like this)."

I often value the process we went through of separating American culture from Christian culture. Most importantly, though, the “Heart of the Missionary” study has been invaluable.

I honestly can't say enough about how beneficial CIT was and continues to be. Almost daily I utilize something I learned during my time there. The BIGGEST benefit has been knowing what to expect emotionally so that when I'm struggling I can easily draw upon the things I learned and remember that what I'm feeling is "normal".

CIT provided us with a realistic idea of what we would encounter cross culturally. We have referred back to our training countless times over the past three years since arriving on the field. We watched "Languaculture" begin to make so much sense as we began building relationships. We always tell people our time at CIT was invaluable!

I can’t imagine the failure and frustration I would have experienced not knowing what I’ve learned here.

It has changed our entire outlook on the gospel and what that may look like in another culture.

I’m almost scared to think what life on the field would have been like without CIT! This has fundamentally changed the way I see God, myself, the peoples of the world and ministry in general.

Enrollment
Summer Enrollment:
Our summer term is full with a cumulative enrollment of 44 adults and 15 children. These participants come from 23 agencies heading to 23 different countries.

Fall Enrollment:
We have accepted more than we normally do and more than we prefer but various situations required it. At this point we have 41 adults registered just for the Equipping class alone! Kathy will have 5 in her teen class. It is going to be a busy fall!

Colorado
Kathy and I head to Colorado for a couple weeks in September to visit our supporting churches and friends. We look forward to reconnecting with so many who have who have stood by and encouraged us for 35+ years.

Grateful!
Kathy and I continue to be incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve Christ among the next generation of missionaries. These are awesome people and you would be blessed to know them. Thank you for your part in this ministry. It could not be done without you.
