Travelings Gone Travelings Coming
September started in a trip for just the two of us! We attended a Central America Team Leader and Wife MTW Retreat. It was a time of connecting with other team leaders as well as spiritual renewal. We are SUPER thankful for our team back in La Ceiba who not only held down the fort with ministry, but also with our kids for the days we were gone! BLESSED WE ARE!
Soon after returning we took 2 days and our entire team went to some cabins just a few miles out of town. We spent two long days in meetings; reviewing our vision and goals and objectives. Every family had been plagued with some form of a physical illness, but the LORD was gracious and we were able to accomplish what we needed to.
Just a few days after those meetings our family loaded up and took a 5 hour drive to attend a weekend conference of missionaries (from many organizations) from all over Honduras. It's a great opportunity for our kids to connect with other MK's. We also got to meet with and hopefully encourage our new teammates, The Marlows, who are in language school.
The last week of September let us stay home! But soon we hit the road again!
John and the older three are traveling to the States the first of October. John and Josiah will be attending Grace PCA mission conference in Foley, AL. while Abi and Bek visit Covenant College!
Soon after returning John and Evan will take a trip to the capital for a school event for Evan.
We end out October with Kathy and the girls heading to IL!
We covet your prayers for our time apart over the month of October; for safety in traveling; for good physical health.

MINISTRY IS JUST HARD SOMETIMES
We have in the past joked that it would be so much easier to do missions if people weren't involved...ourselves included! September was a very discouraging month as we had a national pastor choose to leave the ministry due to issues that we as believers, in accordance with God's Word, could not condone. We were committed to seeing the church itself grow and to fill in preaching with others until the LORD brought a permanent pastor. At the last minute, the church decided that they didn't want us to stay with them. We could look at this and feel like failures. Instead, we are choosing to look at this and KNOW that the LORD is in control. This is HIS ministry - not ours. This is HIS way - not ours.
The LORD is teaching us A LOT. This is one situation that is leading our team into deep prayer; seeking the LORD as to the direction He wants the ministry to go. It's a growing time and growing pains can sometimes hurt.
Please keep our team in your prayers as we seek to hear and know the will of God and what HIS plan is for La Ceiba.

We HATE talking finances. But the truth is the ministry has no funding for operating expenses. We also have had to stop construction due to a lack of funds. Please pray the Lord would provide for the financial needs of this ministry.

If you would like to make a donation to the operating expenses of the ministry, or to the construction of the seminary and clinic, please send John an email and he will give you the correct MTW account. jsclow616@gmail.com

Please continue to be in prayer for our team ministries:
Peter Project: street boys day center
Seminary classes
Door of Hope: single mom's home
Medical Clinics
