“The pre-field training we received at CIT was unquestionably THE most well-designed and beneficial training I have undergone at any point in my ministry history. The topics, pace, and quality of facilitation were outstanding throughout. CIT Equipping module is presented by a seasoned faculty of experts who possess not only the mastery of the subject matter, but a uniformly exceptional respect for the diversity and individual needs of their learners. In a word, our experience at CIT was transformative. I cannot imagine heading to our mission field without having the benefit of this essential preparation.” R.E., Africa

The above comment comes from a well-seasoned Christian leader and best-selling author who has his doctorate and a life of rich ministry experiences. We thank the Lord that He uses us in the lives of both new missionaries and seasoned servants.

Dallas TX

George spent a week in Dallas recently listening to what various organizations are doing in training their personnel and in promoting the resources CIT has to offer. A special privilege was meeting with Sowing Seeds of Joy - a new African-American mission sending agency. It is one of apparently only five African-American agencies mobilizing the African-American church toward mission involvement. This is definitely an under-represented group in the North American missionary movement. It was exciting to hear their vision and for them to invite us into their passion and activity. I trust we will be able to train many African-Americans moving out into global service!

Staff Training
The staff at CIT is continually upgrading their skills. Most of our training staff have taken or are taking the following training this year:
CPR and AED
Learning That Lasts – development of adult learning and facilitation skills
Int’l Congress on Language Learning
CODAR – Debrief Training
MK Care Conference – Kathy is attending this in Kansas City (April 4-8) enhancing our TCK staff
Heart of the Missionary -- enhancement of our spiritual formation training with staff from Serge, Int'l

Kathy's Speaking Event
The day after Kathy returns from Kansas she will be attending a Heart Strings conference and leading a workshop for mothers who have lost a child. This will be in Greenville, SC Saturday April 9. This is always an emotional weekend for all involved. Pray that Kathy's speaking will go well and she will be a blessing to those who attend.

Debrief Retreat
CIT will be entering the arena of Debriefing Retreats. We have been encouraged by another large training organization to offer this and getting requests from our alumni. Our first Debrief in 2016 is scheduled for June 19-24. Our staff is putting on the final touches of preparation for the adult and kids program. We look forward to serving those whom God might send this summer who need to process well their experiences. Kathy has been working alongside Hannah, a recent addition to our staff, in preparing a program for the teens coming this summer. Kathy will have several kids in her class with whom she will be working.

2017
Would you please pray with us as we determine the training schedule for 2017. We are trying to decide whether to move to five terms from four in the coming year. There are many pro’s and con’s, too many to list here but they are significant. Pray that the Lord will give clarity and staff unity on this decision.

Prayer Requests:
1. For Kathy as she travels to Kansas for the MK Care Conference -safety, learning, sharing
2. For Kathy as she speaks at a women's workshop in early April for mom's who have lost a child.
3. For George as he leads the staff towards a decision on the 2017 training calendar.
4. For our staff as we have sickness, injury, and a family member death affecting us this week as we prepare for the new term beginning this weekend.
5. Our spring training term begins on Sunday afternoon April 3.

***We continue to be so grateful for you who pray for us and financially support us and the ministry at CIT. We are always in awe as we see God producing transformation in the lives of our trainees.
