Mortgage to Ministry

Speaker: Seth Hammond Series: Mortgage to Ministry Topic: 1 Chronicles, 1 Chronicles Passage: Malachi 3:7–12, 1 Chronicles 29:1

In 1 Chronicles 29, when gathering resources to build the Temple, King David challenged God’s people, “Who then will offer willingly, consecrating himself today to the Lord?” (1 Chronicles 29:5). The people then gave sacrificially toward this cause, and a revival later broke out in all the land. One way God brings revival is when His people rely solely on Him and give sacrificially. Let us be a Church that relies completely on God and gives sacrificially to support His kingdom work.

Since 2005, God has given Christ Covenant wonderful facilities with which to do His kingdom work. Through the month of September, we are having a “Mortgage to Ministry” Campaign which focuses on continuing to take care of the facilities that God has faithfully given us. There are 3 purposes to this campaign:

1 - Pay our Mortgage. We pay our monthly mortgage out of our Building Fund.
2 - Tackle Debt. We are 9 years away from paying off our loan. We hope to pay this off sooner!
3 - Give 10% to World Missions. To keep an outward focus, we give 10% to support our missionaries around the world.
